Kindle Fire: Amazon's Way to Deliver Color

Many were waiting for this moment, not because the kindle fire was ever announced, but because common sense told them deep inside that color would arrive, sooner or later, to the kindle world. In fact, one of the main reasons why not "everyone" was using a kindle until today was because people were waiting for such a product:

-Hey Mike, this gadget is great! I can store thousands of books and read as much as I want, including PDFs, blogs, online newspapers and magazines, without my eyes getting burnt by the screen... check this out, just like paper, huh? You should get one of these today! Besides, look at the price!!
-Yeah, I know, for sure I’m going to get one, as soon as the kindle color comes out…
-But, how do you know it’s coming out?

This was a typical conversation between me and my friends, family members, associates, and people I met on daily basis… and although everyone had a different answer to this last question, they can all be summarized in two words: common sense!

Wasn’t it long overdue? Hard to judge that one, but one thing’s for certain, Amazon was listening… and they sure delivered.

Color had to come, and it’s here today with the quality of service that Amazon always attaches to their products.

Let’s see what it’s all about:

In a world moving away from paper and into environment-friendly and sustainable technologies, the competition for a market with infinite potential is growing on a daily basis.

The black and white world is slowly shifting it's paradigm to more colorful possibilities. But in my opinion there's still one big hurdle to be tackled for kindle: color + eInk (a universe where Hanvon has already set foot). Although the name, and so the inherited history, is still there, Kindle Fire falls more under the category of a tablet, than of an eRreader.

Time will tell what options technology will bring to the table for kindle: an colored eInk based eReader?, a tablet with a paper-feel screen?

I will keep my eyes and mind opened, and in constant search, for any significant changes in a market that, without a doubt, will change the world of information and entertainment as we know it... believe me, this is just starting.
